Seagate 3TB hard drive rumor confirmed now
Seagate confirmed its 3TB hard drive rumor is true. Seagate’s senior product manager Barbara Craig confirmed this news on Thinq. According to Barbara Craig, “we are announcing a 3TB drive later this year.” This going to be huge relief for more space lover.
However, not going to all of us enjoy this. This new hard drive will need system resource that can handle the Long LBA (logical block addressing) standard. That’s mean an updated drivers, an updated BIOS and either a 64-bit copy of Vista, Windows 7 or modified version of Linux is needed for this. So, Windows XP and other 32-bit OS users should stay way from it.
Nevertheless, the source yet not able to confirm the price, release date and spindle speed. We have to wait for an official news on this but industry presume it will come at the end of this year.
